About Me

My name is Gary Burge. I am a fully qualified and experienced Solution Focused Hypnotherapist based in Plymouth. After spending many years working for various engineering companies in Plymouth, South Devon, I decided to train as a hypnotherapist.

I have always been fascinated by hypnosis and its ability to change people’s lives. I signed up for a course at the award winning Clifton Practice in Plymouth where I gained my HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma), a qualification which is considered to be the “Gold Standard” in hypnotherapy.

I specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which is a well researched and highly effective brain based therapy that uses modern strategies that help to create positive changes in people’s lives.

I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) which ensures that a high level of professional standards is maintained by its members by adhering to a strict code of ethics.

I am also registered with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). The CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. CNHC’s register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
